Taking blood from polar bears, even when tranquilised is quite a challenge. In the arctic, blood-testing kits give WWF the hard facts needed to push governments to act now in the fight against climate change and endangered species.

You would think an 8ft, 600kg bear, could look after itself. But the Earth’s largest land carnivore is at risk as climate change melts its Arctic feeding grounds into the sea. Blood tests are revealing another threat - pollution from man made toxic chemicals. Armed with this evidence WWF are fighting tooth and claw to convince governments to act on climate change and tighten industrial regulations.
