We are delighted to be able to bring you a range of eight fine African Dawn wines from the the Rooiberg Winery in South Africa. Rooiberg was one of the first members of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative (BWI). This organisation pledges to grow vines under strict environmental criteria.

WWF-UK have a licensing agreement with African Dawn which means that WWF receives a contribution, every time a bottle is sold. This money goes towards the Cork Oak Landscapes Programme in the Mediterranean.

Rooiberg Winery is the first and largest member of the BWI and is the first to use FSC cork stoppers. The bottles are recycled glass and the labels are printed on recycled paper. In addition the wine is shipped in bulk to Germany (where it is bottled), in order to reduce the carbon dioxide emmissions caused by shipping ready bottled wine which is heavier and takes up more shipping space.
