The UK’s wildlife is amazing – but it’s in crisis. Over the last 50 years, 38 million birds have vanished from our skies, 97% of our wildflower meadows have been lost, and a quarter of all our mammals are now at risk of extinction.
This beautiful art print created by Rebecca Strickson for WWF is not only a celebration of the UK's wonderful wildlife, but also a rally call for its protection. Featuring her signature style of bold colours and typographic statements, Rebecca has included 10 of nature's heroes that call our wild isles home. 'Save Our Wild Isles' is the first major joint campaign from WWF-UK, the RSPB and the National Trust, calling on our leaders to immediately halt to the destruction of UK nature and take urgent action for its recovery.
"Getting the call to produce work for WWF is truly a dream. I have a bright, joyful and expressive style that usually is very abstract so it was fun to create something depicting elements of the land whilst still remaining like the work I love to make.
I wanted to include as many species as I could that really resonate with the public and that we would be bereft without - swifts, puffins, bees to name a few. This incredible place we call home is not a given - we have to protect, care and nurture the land and its vital inhabitants before we lose it for good.”

Wild Ingleborough
WWF is working on a visionary landscape-scale restoration project known as Wild Ingleborough, hoping to return an iconic area in the Yorkshire Dales to its former glory. So far, an incredible 65,000 trees have been planted, building a better future for the UK’s uplands and species that live there.
